Semarang, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip) held Grand Opening Research (GORe) 2025, an annual event that serves as a platform for new students to develop research. The event, held in the FEB Undip Auditorium, was themed “Exploring the Four Pillars of Research.”
The event was enthusiastically attended by new FEB students who filled the KWU Hall. Held in the first and second weeks, participants received sessions from inspiring speakers who emphasized the importance of research as an academic foundation. Through explanations of the four pillars of research, students were guided to understand the initial steps in developing high-quality, relevant, and impactful research.
In addition to the core material, the committee also emphasized ethical and disciplined aspects of participants. Students were required to attend neatly dressed, wearing collared batik with black bottoms, and maintaining a coordinated appearance. Excessive makeup and checkered white hijabs were also prohibited, reaffirming the formal standards of the event.
In his remarks, the Head of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Diponegoro University (Undip) stated that GORe 2025 is a gateway for new students to explore research culture. “Through GORe, we hope new students will be able to instill scientific values from the beginning of their studies. The four pillars of research introduced will serve as an intellectual compass to guide their academic journey at FEB Undip,” he said.
Through this activity, new students are expected to not only gain theoretical insight but also instill a research spirit in their academic and organizational activities. GORe FEB Undip 2025 is expected to produce a generation of young researchers who are innovative, globally competitive, and uphold academic integrity.
