Badung, Bali – A proud moment for Universitas Diponegoro. Zaidan Zoubairio Zain Muhammad, a 2024 batch Management student, successfully claimed 1st place in the Kyorugi Senior Under 87 Kg Men’s category at the Taekwondo Kasal Cup 2 International Open 2025. The competition took place from February 14 to 16, 2025, at Purna Krida, Badung, Bali.

The event saw more than 2,000 participants, including international and national athletes, as well as representatives from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Indonesian Police (Polri), and the Indonesian Taekwondo Association (PB Ti). This championship followed the Taekwondo Cup National Championship held in Jakarta in October 2023.

In his speech, the Chief of Naval Staff (Kasal) emphasized that this event is more than just a competition—it’s a demonstration of the Indonesian Navy’s support for the growth of national sports and the improvement of Indonesian athletes achievements at the international level. “This competition is part of the implementation of the National Sports Grand Design (DBON), one of the key priorities of President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita program,” he stated. He also expressed his appreciation to all the participants and expressed hope that the event would inspire the younger generation to engage in martial arts. “The achievement today is not the end but the beginning of a journey toward even greater accomplishments,” he added.

Through dedication, consistent training, and hard work, Zaidan was able to deliver an exceptional performance at this event. With a well-thought-out strategy and perseverance, he emerged victorious and brought home the championship title. His success is a testament that Universitas Diponegoro students are capable of competing at the international level.

Zaidan’s remarkable achievement is hoped to inspire other students of Universitas Diponegoro to continue developing their potential and bringing pride to the university, both academically and non-academically.
