In today’s fast-paced business and economic landscape, technology plays a crucial role in driving innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness. Digital transformation has reshaped industries, from financial technology (fintech) and e-commerce to supply chain management and strategic decision-making. To stay ahead in this dynamic environment, students must gain international exposure and insights into how businesses worldwide adapt to technological advancements. Two Diponegoro University (Undip) Management students participated in the Student Go International program to Universiti Tecnology MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, on February 17-21, 2025. This program aims to enhance cross-border academic collaboration and provide students with international exposure to broaden their knowledge and experience.
The Student Go International Program serves as a platform for students to engage in academic discussions, cultural exchanges, and networking opportunities with students from various countries. It also facilitates knowledge-sharing sessions with experts in business and management, equipping students with global perspectives on contemporary management challenges.
The two Management students, Ajeng Cantika Yudhoyono and Nabila Khairunisa, expressed their enthusiasm for being part of this prestigious program. This program goes beyond traditional classroom learning by incorporating interactive experiences such as group discussions, hands-on simulations, and visits to research centers and industrial facilities. With a strong focus on emerging technologies, it delves into key topics such as renewable energy, automation, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). This approach allows students to gain firsthand insights into how modern technology is applied to develop innovative solutions that drive progress across various industries. Additionally, they had the opportunity to interact with lecturers and students from UiTM and other participating universities. Apart from academic engagements, the students also took part in cultural immersion activities, gaining a deeper understanding of Malaysia’s rich traditions and heritage. This experience further strengthened their global mindset and adaptability in an increasingly interconnected world.
The Faculty of Economics and Business at UNDIP fully supports student participation in international programs as part of its commitment to producing globally competitive graduates. The Student Go International Program aligns with UNDIP’s vision of fostering international collaborations and preparing students for dynamic global business environments. With their successful participation, the two UNDIP Management students have set an inspiring example for their peers, demonstrating the importance of international exposure in shaping future business leaders. The university hopes to continue encouraging more students to take part in similar programs and expand their horizons beyond national borders.
