History

The Faculty of Economics at Diponegoro University was established on March 14, 1960. Initially, the faculty was part of the Faculty of Law, Social, and Political Sciences (FHSP) at Diponegoro University, before eventually becoming its own independent faculty. In its early years, the Faculty of Economics at Undip only offered a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (S1). However, as time progressed, the faculty expanded its academic offerings by adding new programs, including Master’s (S2) and Doctoral (S3) programs. The main departments that have developed within FEB include Management, Accounting, and Development Economics.

The Faculty of Economics at Diponegoro University continues to innovate by creating leading programs that are relevant to the needs of the times. In addition to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees, the faculty also offers professional education programs, such as the Professional Accounting Program (PPAk), aimed at preparing graduates to become professionals in the fields of finance and accounting. With a dynamic curriculum and support from highly qualified teaching staff, FEB Undip has produced many competent graduates who actively contribute to various sectors, both nationally and internationally. The faculty is also actively involved in research and community service as part of the university’s Tri Dharma principles.

In 2011, the Faculty of Economics was officially renamed the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). This name change reflects the faculty’s commitment to not only focus on economics but also encompass various disciplines in the fields of business and management, aligning with the developments of the global economy.

FEB Undip has achieved an A accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). Additionally, several study programs within FEB have obtained international certifications, solidifying its position as one of the leading faculties of economics and business in Indonesia.

FEB Undip actively collaborates with various higher education institutions, government bodies, and industry sectors, both nationally and internationally. These efforts are aimed at enhancing the quality of education, research, and community service offered by the faculty. With a growing number of alumni spread across various fields, including government, business, and private institutions, FEB Undip has made significant contributions to national and regional economic development. The faculty is also actively involved in organizing seminars, scientific discussions, and research activities that support economic policy in Indonesia.
